Iberdrola advances its commitment to develop renewable energy in Europe - including new growth markets, such as Poland. Iberdrola's strategy to consolidate its global leadership in renewable energy comes on top of a dozen transactions completed in last years. The company has strengthened its position in markets such as France, the United Kingdom, the United States and Brazil and new growth markets such as Australia, Japan, Sweden, Poland, and Ireland.

We plan to invest in new projects on the Polish renewable energy market. Iberdrola's areas of interest include photovoltaic technologies, onshore and offshore wind energy, as well as energy storage.

Currently, Iberdrola owns 5 onshore wind farms in Poland with the total capacity of 212,8 MW:

Podlasek Wind Farm

Located in Biskupiec municipality (Poviat Nowomiejski), in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship has total installed capacity of 15,5 MW and consists of 7 turbines. The power plant was acquired by Iberdrola and commissioned in 2023. It will produce approx. 50 GWh annually. Energy from Podlasek will be sold to T-Mobile, under the vPPA contract.

Wólka Dobryńska Wind Farm

Placed in Zalesie municipality (Poviat Bialski) in Lubelskie Voivodeship, started operating in 2023. 10 turbines, that belong to this power plant will produce over 90 GWh annually (34,5 MW installed capacity).

Zopowy Wind Farm

Operating in Głubczyce municipality (Opolskie Voivodeship), commissioned in 2013 and in 2015 (two stages), with the total installed capacity of 30 MW, produces approximately 65 GWh annually. The power plant of 15 turbines, was acquired by Iberdrola in 2021.

Korytnica I Wind Farm

Located in Korytnica municipality (poviat Węgrowski) in Masovian Voivodeship is the biggest Iberdrola’s wind farm in Poland. 25 turbines of the total installed capacity 82,5 MW produces over 250 GWh every year. The power plant was commissioned in 2016. Iberdrola completed purchase of the Korytnica I in 2021.

Korytnica II Wind Farm

The project with an installed capacity of 50,4 MW is located on the border of Korytnica and Wierzbno municipalities (Poviat Węgrowski) in Mazovian Voivodeship. Production from Korytnica II will be sold through a power purchase agreement (PPA) to Statkraft. The new plant will produce more than 150 GWh annually, which corresponds to the demand of 40.000 households. Iberdrola completed construction of the Korytnica II project in December 2022.
